Hello.

My name is Rick Rickabaugh and I'd like to thank you for taking the time to visit my website and view my portfolio. Here you will find a combination of professional work as well as some of my personal pieces.

I attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art. Since that time I have head numerous jobs that challenged me on different levels and gave me the opportunity to have many unique experiences. One position that I held required me to travel throughout the United States and on some occasions to other countries, such as Japan, Mexico and Brazil. These experiences have had a great impact on my views as well as my professional and personal artwork.

A few years back I took a position with Letum Inc. A company that owns and operates cemeteries and funeral homes in five different states. After a short time in Family Service/Sales I moved to the home office where I work closely with the President and Vice President of the company. One of my responsibilities is as Graphic Designer/Webmaster. This gives me the chance to explore many different venues for creativity in marketing. Along with the website there are signs, postcards, flyers, coupons, posters, banners and much more. With 16 companies in total to provide work for, I keep very busy and constantly challenged.

My personal work is influenced by both classical art along with contemporary popular culture. I don't get a chance to work on as much personal items as I would like, but when I do I like painting, drawing and photography (including photo manipulation). With all of these things I can be more experimental than with the professional pieces that I produce. While I can be creative, there is a definite respect that must be paid to the subject and specific expectations that exist.
